Bugtong Bato Falls- An Adventure within your budget

I already heard this place when I was still High School. Some of my friends, classmates, and colleagues has been there already.

My Bugtong Bato Falls escaped is unplanned.

Sunday, obviously a day off for all of us. A night before, one of my friends chatted on our Group Chat:

Kat: “Sunday na naman tomorrow, boredom will strike me again.”

“hahaha.. Why don’t try Bugtong Bato falls of Tibiao, Antique?”

The following morning, a call woke me up. Oh! It’s Kathy.

Kat: Fel, Where are you? We’re here already at Molo Terminal.

It is already 8:00 in the morning when we left Iloilo City. A van dropped us at the capital of the province of Antique-  San Jose De Buenavista. From there, we took a ride again in a Van bound to Culasi Antique. It was already 10:30 in the morning when we left San Jose. We asked the Driver to drop us at Crossing Importante. It is almost 12 noon when we reached Baranggay Important.

We took a hanbal-habal ride bound to Baranggay Tuno where we hired Tour Guide. We walked over the green rice fields. Then, we cross over the river until we reached Bugtong Bato Falls.

There, I enjoyed the fantastic view of the falls. I realized how gifted we are and we are given this wonderful creation. Falls symbolizes life and the true meaning of it.

I was surprised that there are more than one falls can be found at Barangay Tuno aside from Bugtong Bato.

Of course we did not miss the famous kawa adventures. 🙂

We enjoyed their unique sauna version. It is worth P200 per person, but actually it is negotiable. 😉

Bugtong Bato Falls is a perfect echo adventure destination. From Hiking up to swimming and other outdoor activities will surely make your visit unforgettable. Aside of hot kawa bath they also have kayaking and zip line.

Booking your accommodation online is not a good idea for the budget traveler because of its expensive prices. There are lots of lodges in Baranggay Tuno that offered cheaper prices.
